Not-So-Required Listening: Mariachi on the 7 Train

Every so often I take the train and on comes a mariachi band. I honest-to-goodness love those moments, ’cause mariachi bands are cool and there’s free music right there (well, unless you tip ’em, which I rarely do and on the train itself is illegal anyhow). Since I got my iPod touch, I’ve been clandestinely recording the mariachi bands that come on the train, and this week I finally got to uploading them onto SoundCloud. Here are the first two recordings I’ve done (both of them are from the 7 train), the first of which a month ago on the 14th of April between 111th Street and Mets-Willets Point, the second on the 23rd, I believe between Junction Boulevard and 82nd Street.
