Required Listening: Gary Clark, Jr.

So a few weeks ago on Studio 360 (one of the many public radio shows I listen to since getting my new iPod and as a result becoming a podcast junkie), they featured a story on an up-and-coming blues guitarist playing at South By Southwest named Gary Clark, Jr., and his main PR dilemma – the fact that even though blues was created by African-Americans, for the past 40 years it’s been played mostly by white musicians. Clark’s trying to change all that, and I support him – here’s his awesome rendition of the song “Bright Lights, Big City” at the Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago last year.
